At JFK (T8 AA), after you get your GE receipt, you proceed to baggage p/u (if you have any); there are generally 2 customs lines (if several flights have just arrived, the lines can be long), BUT, there is a special by-pass lane for GE--unless you are singled out for "extra" inspection, you hand in your GE receipt and exit. Sometimes, they may ask to see your pp--particularly, if all the receipt shows is the top of your head (normal for me),
