The thing I want to know is, if there is a pattern or correlation as to how they "target" these offers.

Taking the above example, $390 effectively for an extra banked Elite year seems very generous (well to most on here, it is). What does it cost Westpac to do so?

As it's targeted at NZ Elite, means said person already have *A lounge access and whatnot, and most likely won't even touch the Priority Pass lounge access which is one of the highlights of the World Card (and most NZ/*A lounges are superior to Priority Pass lounges offerings anyways). Does it mean Westpac actually don't be charged back for using said lounges and so, cost them nothing to make such an offer?

Also, it mentioned a pre-approved limit of $25k for the World Card. I actually have an even higher limit on my ANZ Platinum Visa, why wouldn't I get a similar offer from Westpac to try lure my business? Surely I would fit their acceptance criteria for the World Card as well?

Just random musings, that's all.
