Not sure! I was surprised to find that this existed at all. I found a number of 20k options from JFK last week (Bermuda, etc), but not a single one from BOS, so maybe only certain cities are being given this option.

Thanks! I couldn't find the exact dates I wanted r/t, so I got a 10k reward JFK-PAP, and then a 15k reward SDQ-JFK, which are wide open. This gave me my dates, and the taxes were also cheaper. Haiti and the DR for 25k miles? No complaints here.
