Is there any indication that the IFE was broken?

SQ pulled the IFE sca on me to boot me from my popular preassigned seat to a PPS customer. When I did not want to move the seat had more and more flaws until it was a security risk to even touch it.
So I'd expect CX to work in similar ways ...
