TD has a couple of credit cards targeted at students. One is a TD rewards card for $19/year that returns 2% in TD Points for travel purchases through their Expedia portal and 1% for all other purchases. You could get that easily without any income. If you've got a non-income source of money (investments, allowance, family, etc.) you could try to get one of the "better" cards by going into a branch and talking to a manager in person. They'll be more receptive if you have a bank account, TFSA, etc. or are willing to open one.
