I would explore obtaining another OWE status if it makes sense for your flying patterns. Personally, I find service/upgrades/op-ups to be better when flying as EXP on AA metal and as DM on CX metal. Also, this serves as a hedge should either program change significantly as discussed elsewhere.
It sounds like OP is primarily qualifying on sectors so if on balance that means mostly short haul, then I would wonder how those relatively smaller mileage bonuses as EXP would balance out the at gate op-up rate as DM if flying CX. Also, it is important to check which flights actually earn qualifying miles for each program.
