Advice on potential problem
Last year, I booked an award ticket (using my American Airline miles) on Dragon Air and Cathay from Cambodia to Hong Kong to the US. This is a trip I will be taking this summer. I used a credit card to pay for the taxes. I ended up canceling the card earlier this year.
I just realized too late that Dragon Air or Cathay may ask for my credit card (which I no longer have). I've read on the internet that foreign countries often ask for the credit card as a fraud measure before allowing boarding. I just called the credit card company to see if they could reissue the card but they said it's past the window where they could reissue the card. So I am worried about being stuck in Cambodia since I don't have the credit card. Any ideas on what to do? I've got a couple of months until I take the flight.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
