I had an "are they bringing something or not" experience in F a few weeks ago.
I was sitting in 2K; there were 4 other occupants but they were all sitting behind me so I don't know what transpired with them.
The second meal on the flight was afternoon tea.
A member of the cabin crew asked me if I would like some sandwiches. I said "yes please" and he brought me.......some sandwiches - just sandwiches. I expected him to come back and ask me what kind of tea I would like, and to bring cake and scones at some stage. So I waited, expecting him to come back. I probably waited too long, assuming that he was busy serving someone else.
Time was getting on and I didn't want to run out of time to eat and drink them, so I went to the galley in search tea and cake. There I found 5 members of the cabin crew, including the CSD, chatting and laughing. They were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't even notice me in the galley right away. Eventually a lady who had not been working F saw me, and I asked for the rest of my tea.
The same cabin crew member who brought the sandwiches brought the tea and cake, but the scones never did materialize. I gave up on them because by then it was too late in the flight to have time to enjoy them.
The person who had looked after me up until the sandwich incident had been absolutely fantastic. His colleague, the sandwich guy, was hopeless. I didn't expect getting my afternoon tea in F to be such hard work.
