Let me ask something for clarification. I just booked seats for 4 for travel 6 and 8 months from now. Im anal and like to check seatguru and DO pick my seats as early as possible, months in advance. And since I have kids and am a kid at heart, I dont mind a window+middle seat when traveling with family.
All that said, when you choose seats so far in advance, then we have to check in (usually online about 24 hrs prior to the trip, do I have to *scramble again* to re-confirm my seats? OR is my initial selection respected/abided by?

The FA starts to argue with him. Seriously! This guy is in his rightful seat, remains calm and is totally cool about it but won't be bullied. The FA goes off in a huff and a second FA comes over and apologizes for the first FA. The gentleman says that he's be happy to move up to the front of the plane but not back and is pretty surprised that he was expected to move back to economy when he hadn't done anything but sit in the seat he paid for.
That is absolutely incredulous and I am dumfounded. What the hell was the FA thinking??!!!
