I'd find out your alternatives, then call DL

I had 3 changes (last one 4 days before my flight) in 3 months for my flight booked 1 year ago, funny. But I used that to my advantage to add a 23 hour stopover at SEA (DL didn't pay for my hotel or rental car though)
Sadly, DL usually wouldn't put you on Partner flights but computer would (it put me on a Korean A380 JFK-ICN). I would've loved that over DL A332 but timing sucked
