But, my point was, that, they can - and will - surely see that if you're flying from A - B - C, and you get off the plane at B, and NOW try to fly from B to X to C, they will surely see that your ticket is from A to C - period, and not allow it, unless there's something in the fare rules that allows this particular double connection.
I have only been able to do this if there was a IROP. However agents are usually willing to override the fare rules if it's a reasonable request - I.e I have SDCed from RDU-SLC-EUG to RDU-ATL-LAX-EUG when there was only one daily SLC flight and this combo got me in hours later even though they weren't in the routing rules.
