I was already on nearly the last flight of the day. I wasn't going to make it, so I was trying to change it to the next day - - there's more to the story - not worth explaining. I ended up just not going . . . .

But, my point was, that, they can - and will - surely see that if you're flying from A - B - C, and you get off the plane at B, and NOW try to fly from B to X to C, they will surely see that your ticket is from A to C - period, and not allow it, unless there's something in the fare rules that allows this particular double connection.
