If businesses were no longer being charged to swipe our cards, they wouldn't have a problem if we pay for gift cards with credit, like many do now.
If credit card companies aren't being paid swipe fees, that will decrease their margins. Which should lead to less FF miles/cash back for credit card holders.
If this becomes a trend, it could mean the death of MSing. Of course legislative reforms in swipe fees hasn't killed MSing yet so we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.
