Having just done a BA domestic to BA international from T3 I say there is a massive negative with the move of flights to t3 when originating from the regions. Firstly it's a long walk to connections, then a bus, and then you have to do security all again. It took me nearly an hour from leaving my domestic flight to be in a t3 lounge. For t5 it's about 10mins, with no extra security.
