@Seat 1F - I'd think the troublemakers were probably not McGill-related but more likely US college students. Montreal is a pretty popular destination for NY/MA/etc. kids who are underage in the US but legal up north.

Was it during US spring break? I know that when I was in school (~5 years ago, upstate NY) a popular spring break trip was Montreal partying + skiing Tremblant.
