can't select seat after avios booking change

Hi all,

Changed an avios booking online and cannot select a seat on the new flight. Seat map pops up but when I try to confirm seat it's not going through. Says seat selection not available, try again late or at check in. I've just made this change in the last hour so will try again in a couple of hours. Any ideas?
