The flight(s) were BA owned and operated flights, the ticket bought through AA. When I checked before the flight, the BA itinerary stated 70/20 Tier Points - but post-flight only 35/10 were applied to my account (which is what has happened before). So I suppose the question is why does the BA system before the flight 'award' the higher Tier Points, then downsize them afterwards?
