I'm asking because Nexus -- which comes with Global Entry and PreCheck -- costs only half the price of GE. That said, since it involves both US and Canadian immigration authorities, I'm not sure if you'd want to highlight to Canada that you have a DUI in the event they're not already aware of it. Maybe some other Nexus holders can weigh in.
Canada finds out about a lot of US person's US DUI/DWI history. And CBSA indeed may deny non-Canadian persons entry to Canada because of US DUI/DWI history and will also decline NEXUS on the basis of such finding of adverse US DUI/DWI history.
Yes, U.S. persons who may be approved for GE may end up being declined for NEXUS due to Canadian sensibilities. So even as NEXUS is cheaper for a bunch of us to get GE and other benefits, it may also be a wasted application fee relative to applying for GE -- at least for those whose adverse US DUI history gets picked up by Canada.
