I'm planning a trip to turkey. I know the currency is TRY. However, it seems that nearly every hotel (in IST, ASR, ADB) shows prices in EUR. Many hotels even offer a pretty big discount for paying in cash. If TRY is their local currenc, why do they show prices and even prefer EUR?
