I just earned Diamond status for 2016, should I go for Marriott status too? I am gold Marriott now due to an airline match. I have a hyatt credit card as well as a Marriott card.

I wouldn't bother going for more than gold. Marriott gold status is decent and you won't get platinum by having the match from United and then doing 25 nights...I think you'd have to do 75 to get platinum. I generally try to book into Hyatts but it's nice to have the marriott status for places I travel where there aren't hyatts.
