Just to clarify, this works for any OW flights (marketed and operated by a OW carrier), but does not work when either the marketing or the operating airline is now OW. There are a few exceptions, namely any CX- or KA-coded flights earn miles according to the CX / KA table (including those not operated by an OW carrier), and that AA-coded flights operated by AS / QX are okay, too. Also, I believe NZ-coded FLTs operated by CX between HKG and AKL earns AM but not MPO.
