AE Carrier Surcharge Question
Looking at modifying my return from SIN and options through NRT on ANA or ICN on Asiana end up giving carrier surcharges in the 200-300$ range. However just looking at flights from ICN to NA or NRT to NA the surcharges are much lower.

Is there a reason for this and if I do a stopover in either city on a multicity redemption would I pay the higher or lower surcharge?
