If there are pax who think BA ET (EDIT: sold as HBO, with no seat choice, and earning almost no Avios) is automatically £25 better than a LCC on a 2h flight then BA's brain-washing is obviously working. I can think of so many better ways to spend my £25 than to mindlessly stuff it into BA's coffers because of the colours on the tailfin.
I think you have misunderstood. If I lived to the South of London, then I think the £25 is very good value for not having to trek through London up to Stansted. The £25 premium is more a function of demand for that airport rather than BA justifying paying more for a snack.

A more sensible comparison would be a LGW-NCE flight at the sametime for BA and easyjet.

Of course, if you're stupid enough to live near Gatwick but buy a Ryanair flight from Stansted (and probably pay the difference just getting to the airport) then by all means, fill your boots.

I should add, if you're flying into London and staying in the centre, then it's a different picture
