a few years ago, I would've totally agreed with you, but after recently returning from there, the whole island seems... well... cleaner.

Agree too, but in this case, CI actually lags both UA and NW and BR is nowhere near the cheap fares of any of the carriers. If it really was about supply/demand, then wouldn't a larger hub with greater supply AND demand like NRT or HKG have cheaper prices?

ahhh, the wonderful side-effects of airline pricing economics!
