First Class on OZ 741 with new A380?
Greetings,
Between May 12 - May 27 2015, OZ 741 (ICN - BKK) will swap from a two class A330 to one of the two newly delivered three class A380's.
My question is this - will Asiana allow J passengers to sit in the 12 F seats or will they simply block off those 12 seats all together - even during the flight? If they allow passengers to move into those seats, how would I secure them?
We are on a F award traveling from LAX to DPS via BKK, and taking OZ 741 on May 16. When I called Asiana reservations, I was told those seats are currently blocked, but I could request them (even though there would still be J service) at check-in which is 47 hours before the flight. Has anyone had any experience with Asiana swapping aircraft like this?
My only other experience with this type of situation was on Thai Air, when they swapped a two class 777 to a three class A340-600 right before the flight. They did not move anyone up to the F seats and kept the front of the aircraft curtained off. I suspect Asiana might do the same?
