I like Hamptons and usually find them an excellent value, but I understand exactly what the OP is saying. The big production over being a diamond member and what you get for being one is irritating. It is sort of like getting a quarter from grandpa with an admonition not to spend it all in one place. It isn't particularly impressive; in fact, it is the opposite of impressive. It makes you focus on how little value there is in a bottle of water and 250 points. 250 points is a worthless joke.
