I'm definitely not upgrading now. I am not elite with United, if I wanted to try and get it before years-end I could probably easily get it, but I usually don't spend the required PQD of $3,000 a year with United as I fly non-rev with them most of the time, or fly on awards.
How much do you think the upgrade cost would be as time gets closer, perhaps within 24 hours of the flight? Didn't know they lowered the price as time got closer. Then, depending on the price, I would consider an upgrade. 13 hours in Y will be tough, but for $631 RT, I'll deal with it!
