Part 14 - A day trip to Nagasaki

We caught a morning train down to Nagasaki and visited the Peace Park.

We then caught the old Nagasaki trams to the Dutch colony area of Deijima that was on a man made island.

After this we visited the Ōura Church said to be the oldest in Japan.

After ward and just up the road is Glover House where we spent some time wandering around the houses and gardens onsite.

We then went for a walk along Dutch slope.

Whilst waiting for our train we were treated to a piece of the local specialty cake Castella and a cup of tea.

At the hotel where we had our tea the bathrooms had toilets that played flushing sounds for those easily embarrassed.

It was a great day out and in the late afternoon we headed back to Fukuoka.

That was the final main DO event but some went on to a post DO trip to an onsen that I was unable to make.
