Disillusioned Diamond In Particular Hampton Inn

Long time Diamond here and was wondering if anyone else has encountered this (which is new to me). I stay at well over 100 Hilton properties a year, mostly full bore Hiltons, DoubleTrees, HGIs and the occasional Waldorf with a smattering of Hamptons. I have my profile sent to points and points yet almost universally I'm also given either breakfast certs, bottled water and a snack and at higher end places, drink certificates. I've found lately when I go to any Hampton Inn the desk person will say "it looks like you've opted for points" and send me away without my token bottle of water and or snack and just give me my paltry 250 points. In all honesty, I don't really give a damn and could care less about said water but it just seems to smack of cheapness when I'm routinely staying mid-week at a Hampton Inn for $179 a night...usually they always just give me both. It's more irritating than anything and just another reason I'm beginning to loathe Hilton. SPG is getting more and more of my business. Do I sound like a spoiled FlyerTalk complainer or does anyone else experience this? Just curious. Hilton has caused me to be a long time reader of FlyerTalk to an active, posting conplainer.
