You would be better off redeeming 3,000 points or in fact just buying them for £70 ($104) which brings it down to half price!
So silly! Perhaps they didn't like being shunted down to a Cat 2?
The hotel is expensive at weekends and cheaper during the weeks. When they are on Hot Escapes, the rates are down to £39 in the week.
For a football weekend, points are the way to go. They are not being silly though, they get those prices pretty easily. It is the weekdays that they are struggling with, hence the lower prices.
