I agree on longer flights in J this would be good and is something I love about F.
He's referring to the SQ option (now available on other carriers) where you can pre-book a main meal from a much, much wider range of options than what is available on board e.g. ex-LHR flights you can choose from up to 18 options and ex-SIN you have 62.
