Hello all,

I recently booked a cheap K fare on United from EWR-DXB for early 2016, and this morning was checking on how much it would cost to upgrade it from Economy to BusinessFirst (gives me the option on my reservation), and it showed a price of $1930 each way (I paid $631 RT for my economy fare), however if I go to see the price if I booked the ticket outright in business, it's a little over $7,000 (and that's one way). Is this a glitch with United's website? I've had issues in the past where it would show a ridiculously low price to upgrade the fare where I had to call United to finish the upgrade, however they have honored the glitch upgrade fare before (depending on the reservations agent I got). I am just curious as it seems pretty low to upgrade the fare. It's interesting because sometimes it shows this price to upgrade, and other times it won't give me the option to upgrade at all.
