If I'm going to have to take the subway to that stuff anyways, sounds like I should just stay at the PH; if I can actually walk places from the GH (and maybe come back in the middle of the day to rest), perhaps the GH is the way to go.

GH requires walking down a hill (or up it) to get anywhere and back. Most people use taxis or the shuttle to Itaewon. No subway closeby. PH is near Samseong station, Line 2. Also near Bongeunsa, a Buddhist temple and the rejuvenated COEX mall. You can also take in a baseball game one subway stop away.
