There are "Will ZZ Follow?" threads going back almost to the beginning of FlyerTalk. FT rules require that discussion of any particular topic be about the airline in the forum in which the thread sits. A discussion in the UA forum of new WN seats is off topic unless framed as "will UA follow?" and so that's what happens.
That was the policy several years ago when I was a moderator and things haven't really changed since then.
