I think the proof of this interpretation can be found in the absence of reciprocal threads on other FT fora. I haven't seen any "UA did AAA, will Airline XX follow?" threads in my occasional forays into other airlines' fora.
Some airlines lead in innovation and others follow. UA seems to be mostly a follower these days.
Cue the UA apologists to fire up their flamethrowers to roast me alive with counterexamples. Have I missed these reciprocal threads in FT land?
