Delta does make revenue in a number of ways, very true, but that metric just includes passenger revenue (i.e. it doesn't include cargo and other), so it's the right metric to use. You don't need to normalize it.

Your second sentence is unclear, but it sounds like you're saying that the MQD threshold for each Medallion tier should be equal to the EQM you'd earn flying the mileage threshold at an average fare, is that correct? In other words, an average customer would hit the MQD and EQM threshold after the same amount of flying. As I've shown above, the average passenger (spending 17c/mile on their ticket) will hit the MQD well before they hit the EQM threshold.
