I've been experimenting and playing around with the
Qcalculator a lot recently, mostly for fun and to see how many miles and what tier level I will end up at in the end of the year.
For this I have made the following spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
But what puzzles me... is that in some cases the Qcalculator gives me some results I can't explain, that I was hoping you could help me explain.
Let's take OSL-DOH as an example. According to the Qcalculator this is a distance of 3'081 miles (just select tier level Burgundy and look at booking class B for "pure" 100% accrual of miles).
According to my knowledge this should mean that a ticket in booking class N (50%) with Gold tier (75% extra) should give us this: 3'081*0.5*1.75=2'696 Qmiles.
Instead, if you use the Qcalculator and select Gold tier, you end up with 3'852 Qmiles.
Another example is DOH-BKK booked in I, as a Gold. It SHOULD give you 3'270*1.25*1.75=7'153 Qmiles, but instead the Qcalculator tells you 6'541!?
Is anyone able to explain this?
