You are confused here. Please stop.

It is the responsibility of the carrier delivering the traveler late to a connecting point to rebook. It doesn't matter who issued the ticket. An AS delay is AS' responsibility to fix, and AS may offer KE.

Two tickets and the OP is looking for mercy from DL.
