Thanks for the information. Yes, this is all on one ticket and the CX flight is actually booked under the AA Codeshare flight number. Traveling light (just a rollaboard) so, if I am able to standby or have some other issue, all is good. Also sitting in 1st row of Y so should be off the plane fairly easily (plus I have mastered the "airport stride" as the other half refers to it).
