First Flight on Frontier in years
Flew IAD to RSW last Friday on a new Airbus 320. Nearly 4-million miler on United, so I traditionally flew on United to see family in Florida, even if it meant going thru Chicago, or used US when it was still part of Star Alliance. Here's my take:
1) tickets were cheap -- $39.
2) with fees for seating, baggage, food -- carry-ons cost more than checked bags -- the fares came to nearly $95 each.
3) Seating was not good. Newest economy seating was super thin and no recline, except in the front three rows.
4) wait for luggage was very long -- 30 minutes.
Only truly redeeming factor was the lead FA -- a gifted humorist. Advised us that almost nothing on Frontier was without a fee -- now investigating how to charge if conditions required the oxygen masks to be used.
