UA Y+ is not bad at all (considering that I got for free as premier silver). I have tried Asian airlines and Turkish airlines, and I definitely think that there is more leg room in UA Y+ (unless you get exit/bulkhead seats) than those airlines. If you are Marriott Platinum you can sign up to be UA silver which gives you complimentary Y+.
