Thanks for all the replies.
We did have a RTAD attached...and the buggy is light enough (we bought it specifically for travelling).
I can understand (sort of) that some airports are unable to accommodate drop off at the gate...but that isn't what the MUC website shows.

One for experience...we'll be better prepared when going again in May!
