I am flying QF from MEL to SYD, but I don't understand as I have an EK Flight number and I paid EK. The whole point of this is, you expect to have a level of service from the party which you have paid for services. For example, if you purchased, and paid for, Dom Champagne from Waitrose but because it was delivered by Tesco you received Cava would you be happy?
