According to TIMATIC if a US resident departing from the US then not required.

Passport required.
- Passports and/or passport replacing documents must be valid
for the period of intended stay.
- Warning: if departing from the USA (regardless of any

destination passport exemptions), a valid passport and/or

US immigration authorities.

Passport Exemptions:

- Permanent residents of USA holding Permanent
Resident/Resident Alien Card (Form I-551), arriving from USA
or St. Pierre and Miquelon.

Visa required, except for A max. stay of 6 months for holders
of a Permanent Resident/Resident Alien Card (Form I-551)
issued by the USA. NOTE: ADIT stamp evidencing the process of
a Form I-551 is also accepted if the 'valid until' date has not expired.
