My experience has not been over the past few days but at holidays. Was traveling on an e-ticket and it is defintely a pain in the a** if there is a cancellation. First you have to convince an agent to drive a ticket for you *then* they have to give you the FIM and endorse the ticket for you to go to another carrier. What I have started doing is when I know I am traveling at a time when the chance of cancellation is higher (i.e. Thanksgiving) I use a paper ticket and deal with the 'inconvenience'. Just my opinion.
