You'll need to tell check-in staff at CDG that you will use TWOV. Once you get to Wuhan, I don't know if WUH has a separate Immigration queue for TWOV, but if you don't see one, just get into a queue for Foreigners and show your passport, onward eticket on CZ, your arrival card that states "Transit" as your purpose for being in China, and state you are just here for TWOV. They should stamp you in, at which point you may hang out at the airport or leave and go into the city.
