The annoying thing is that if it was the other way round they would deny me my partners gold benefits because he's not present. Not really fair they get it both ways. The property is newly flagged as starwood and the guy on the phone sounded like he was just making a decision on the spot that I shouldn't get the benefits. I guess I'll argue my case at check in.
