The problem, I suppose, is that the SPG number of the giftor has to stay on the reservation, so it is going to have to be noted by contacting the property in advance or at check-in. Platinum Concierge should be able to assist if it needs to be done in advance.

My partner booked a night using his points in a hotel for me. He is a regular member but I am a Gold member. I am keen to get the 4pm checkout but when I called the hotel they said I could not use my benefits as it was booked under his account . They were quite firm. Anyone know whether I can try to argue the point at checkin or is what they say correct?
