In case it is a dxb-jfk-jfk-dxb (via mxp) ticket:
If i recall correctly (travelling at the moment, so please correct if I'm wrong) are the jfk fare ex dxb anyway not combinable with a mxpjfk fare, so to change the flight will be tricky (and expensive)
