I was denied for a Venture card back in January. I've only been denied for that card and the Barclay's Arrival (with US Air card open) out of 20-30 applications. My credit score is almost 800. I'm convinced that Capital One denied me because my credit was too high. They are going after people with lower credit scores whom they have a greater chance of making money with.
